Mr. Krishnaraoji Ingle, Ex MLA are President of Satpuda Education Society which is a esteem organization in rendering agriculture Services of Education and Extension work in Buldana District. Host Institute is providing degree crouses in Agriculture (B.Sc.), Horticulture (B.Sc.), Agriculture Engineering (B.Tech.), Diploma in Agriculture, Diploma in Veterinary Science alongwith this institute is having degree course in B.Sc. Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Jalgaon Jamod falls under Central Maharashtra Plateau Zone having annual rainfall 750-900mm. Buldana district is located at the latitude: 19.510 to 21.170 North Longitude 75.570 to 76.490 and situated 305m above mean sea level. According to agro climatic conditions & thrust area of the district, Krishi Vigyan Kendra plays a vital role in dissemination of Agriculture Technologies to the farming community of the district by undertaking trainings to farmers, farmwomen’s and vocational trainings to rural youths. And to demonstrate various agriculture technologies at farmers field and also need based technologies, assessment & refinement for changing agriculture scenario of the district. Which ultimately increase productivity, sustainability, profitability & increases socio-economic status of farming community.
Most of the area of Buldana district comes under black cotton soils. The major kharif crops of this district are Cotton, Soybean, Pigeon Pea, Greengram, Blackgram and rabi crops are Bengalgram, Wheat, Onion and having soybean and cotton based cropping pattern. In fruit crops Citrus, Banana, Custard Apple, Guava are major in district.
